Quorn Foods was recently awarded a Good Egg Award by Compassion in World Farming at its prestigious Good Farm Animal Welfare Awards ceremony held in London, in recognition of our commitment to laying hen welfare.
The Good Farm Animal Welfare Awards celebrate the commitment of leading food businesses to improve animal welfare standards. Since 2007, the Good Egg Award has recognised companies that use or have committed to use cage-free eggs or egg products. To date more than 57 million laying hens are set to benefit each year from the award winners’ policies.
Dr Tracey Jones, Director of Food Business, Compassion in World Farming, said: “We would like to congratulate Quorn Foods for the huge difference they are making to the lives of laying hens in their supply chain. We need more businesses to follow their excellent example and keep the momentum going across the industry".
